First MTC Mail

A letter finally came from Elder Rees. He made it to the MTC and is doing well. He has been assigned to be the District Leader and mentions how hard it is not to have mail for himself when he passes it out to others. He would love to hear from any of you who have time to write. The website dearelder.com will print your email and put it in the box of the missionary while they are at the MTC.

He loves his classes. He didn't think that he would be able to handle long days of religion classes but he is loving it. He has good missionaries in his district and he says that they all look up to him. He must be taller than all of them :) Elder Rees is a born leader and it is good to see him not taking that responsibility lightly.

Here is an portion of his letter:
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is TRUE! It has been restored to the Earth and I love learning more about it. The first lesson that they are teaching us is that we need to teach and learn for ourselves the things that we want to teach and have our investigators learn. Things in the gospel have started to click and I am writing everything down. That is key for us here. We are learning the language of the Spirit and anytime we are taught by the spirit we need to "Treasure it up in our minds".

Please make sure that you are studying every day and keeping a scripture journal. This will show the Lord how much we value what we are being being taught and so that we can refer back to those thoughts and feelings later.
